A dashboard with “leisure-vehicle” styling

Berlingo interior
The dashboard design maximises storage space with its “leisure-vehicle” styling. It features a central beam, with the instrument cluster and controls on one side and the passenger airbag on the other.

The comfort controls are positioned on the central panel, above which is a screen showing the clock, together with information on the car radio. The top part of the dashboard is coloured to match the colour scheme used elsewhere in the passenger compartment.

The instrument cluster helps to customise the dashboard since the background colour of the four dials match the rest of the vehicle. The digital screen, which features an odometer, shows the maintenance indicators and, for diesel engines, the level of engine oil.

The sizeable wheel offers an easy grip for increased driving comfort. The horn control is now placed in the centre of the steering wheel. The Berlingo also features new controls of a highly ergonomic design.

Cruise control*
The radio receivers feature fingertip controls (right-hand paddle) with data displayed on a remote screen at the top of the dashboard.

Cruise control*, controlled using the left-hand paddle under the wheel, is available as an option* with the 1.6i 16V 110 bhp and HDi 90 bhp engines. Present for the first time at this level of the range, cruise control offers enhanced comfort and safety.

Modutop
A system of unique design, the Modutop offers storage capacity of 100 litres, over and above the space already available on the standard vehicle. Inspired by the interior layout techniques used in aircraft, it lets the light flood in. The Modutop is also equipped with a wide range of comfort equipment, including ventilation and interior lighting.
These functions make life on board the Berlingo even more pleasant and enjoyable, and underline its talents as a practical, family vehicle.

Sliding side doors*
The sliding side doors have a safety mechanism to prevent accidental closure. The right-hand sliding side door is also equipped with a safety mechanism to prevent it being opened when the fuel tank is being filled.

The Berlingo has a wealth of storage space:
The dashboard comprises two flat, open areas. A compartment to the left of the instrument cluster can be used to hold such objects as a mobile phone. The lower glovebox is a deep, wide, open compartment. On some versions equipped with air conditioning, this glovebox is fitted with a “breadbox” style lid.
The central console between the front seats is fitted with a large open stowage compartment that can hold a variety of objects. It features three recesses for 33 cl cans. A removable box that can be used as an ashtray is placed in one of these compartments.
stowage bins in the front and rear doors and under the front seats, nets above the side doors, map pockets on the backs of the front seats, stowage flaps in the floor for rear passengers.
